The Mac8 Group S.p.A. at its Atelier in Via Madama, 69 – Turin, is honoured to host a photographic event of exceptional artistic, cultural and historical value: for the first time in the Piedmontese capital, a selection of 10 previously unpublished shots by the famous Mexican painter will be presented Frida Kahlo, part of the Leo Matiz Foundation's prestigious collection.
The exhibition offers a unique and intimate perspective on Frida Kahlo, captured through the lens of the great Colombian photographer. Leo Matiz between 1941 and 1947. The images portray the artist inside his iconic home, the Casa Azul, and in everyday life moments, revealing a more personal and lesser-known side of her persona. This behind-the-scenes glimpse allows us to grasp the humanity and strength of one of the 20th century's most influential icons, far from conventional portrayals.
The exhibition, curated by Loris Innocenti, is the result of a valuable collaboration between Atelier Mac8, the Leo Matiz Foundation in Mexico City and the Paola Colombari Gallery of Milan, thus uniting three international realities to celebrate the greatness of Frida Kahlo and the mastery of Leo Matiz.
